One-Year
Local Studio Scholarship
At the auditions the faculty will
select one dancer in each level to be in the running for this
national award. The Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced
recipients are filmed at the closing ceremony along with the
eligible Dance with the Force recipients. Upon completion of the
tour, a panel of judges will choose two dancers to receive a one year
scholarship to their local home studio.
The award includes up to $250 per quarter in tuition ($1,000
annually) and is paid directly to the recipients dance school
(one school only) in quarterly installments.
Requirements and Policy
The recipient is required to attend
at least one dance class per week and be a student in good
standing with their school. The local studio must verify the
students’ performance in order for payments to continue. Should
the recipients’ performance fail or they leave the dance school,
the award will terminate. The award may not be transferred,
exchanged, refunded or awarded in any other manner than what is
stated herein. |
